Week in the Life 2019 :: DIY Stash Kit

posted in: Week in the Life™ | 0

I am so excited for this year’s Week in the Life project! This will be my third year taking part in this project, which is the brainchild of the always inspiring Ali Edwards, and it is one of my favorite projects to participate in.

(In case you aren’t familiar with this project, you can learn more here at Ali’s Week in the Life page.)

For the last two years, I have purchased a kit from Ali’s shop for the project and have been really happy with those. This year, to save a little cash and try something new for me, I challenged myself to see if I could shop my stash and pull together a kit of products I already own. Boy did I surprise myself!

I set aside an hour one evening to go through my supplies and see if I could assemble a kit of items that I felt excited to use and would work well for this project. I not only found a lot of great items in my stash that I had completely forgotten about, but I was able to create a MASSIVE kit that I am in LOVE with! The colors are bright and bold like Ali’s kit this year and I can’t wait to use it in my album. I definitely won’t use everything that’s in the kit, I probably won’t even put much of a dent in it, but I am excited to rediscover these products and mash-up lots of bits from old kits and supplies and use up what I can. I did buy a 6×8 album from Ali and some new page protectors that I plan to use for the project, but that’s all!

Here’s a video overview of what is in my kit. I hope it inspires you to try something like this for your own memory keeping projects, Week in the Life, or otherwise!
