Welcome October! I am excited for this season and to be embarking on my very first October Daily and sharing it with you all! I’ve been so inspired by the community and cannot wait to get started.
I knew that in order to be successful with this project and get it finished within the month, before December Daily prep season kicks off, I would have to be organized. First, I made a list of prompts and activities in my Day One app so that I can check them off as I go. I was really inspired by Krystal Iduñate’s 31 Fall Journaling Prompts, which is what convinced me I needed to participate in this project in the first place. After I had a general idea of the stories I’d like to tell this season, I pulled together a kit of supplies from my stash. I only bought a couple of new things, but I actually purchased those before I decided to participate. Luckily they will work great in the project! Another action I took to set myself up for success was to decide on my first week’s worth of stories and prep some pages in advance.
As I mention in my video, my album will be focused mostly on fall stories and activities as Halloween isn’t really a huge event for our family. I’m looking forward to telling a variety of stories and creating opportunities for stories through some pre-planned activities.
The video I’m sharing today shows the bulk of what’s included in my DIY kit, my intro and reason why pages, and my first few prep / foundation pages.
