Happy Week in the Life documenting week! For any of you who aren’t familiar with Week in the Life, it is a week-long documenting project started by Ali Edwards focused on the stories of our everyday lives. This is the first year I’ve participated in this project that I am relieved it is Sunday and the final day of documenting. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that all our days have taken place at home, so there’s no major difference between the weekdays and weekend days that has me losing steam or what, but I will be glad to be done with the documenting portion of this project.
Saturday was the day this week that I took the least amount of photos and struggled a little with motivation to keep going. I have not experienced that in previous years, but I think, mentally, I was struggling a bit more yesterday than other days. The reality of still being under a stay-at-home order felt a little stifling yesterday, and we had to find some ways to balance that out. We managed to get out for a nice drive to and car picnic and spent the late morning outside playing video games.
For Friday I used the story lens “Today I…” which is another new one for me. I enjoyed it as a way to tell a mix of stories about what I was doing as well as how I was feeling. I have really enjoyed trying a few new lenses this week. Here are some of my words and photos from Friday.
Thursday’s story lens was “For the love of…” and I found that I had so much to say for this particular prompt. This was a new prompt for me, but definitely one I will use again. Here are some of my words and photos for Thursday.
For Wednesday, I used the story lens “The STUFF of Life” for my stories. I have been collecting actual bits of stuff from our life that I plan to add into my album in a 2×2 page protector. This was a challenging lens, but I enjoyed that today. Here are some of my words and photos from Wednesday.
